Acoustics

We have been advising in the field of acoustics since the late 1970s and thus have extensive experience in handling all acoustic issues. Our acousticians cover assignments all over the country, and we also have assignments offshore and internationally.

Our assignments vary in size from simple sound measurements and inspections, to noise assessments on large transport projects and the design of complex buildings. Our focus on professional competence and good customer service ensures high-quality end products. Sustainable buildings and environments have good acoustic conditions, without noise that is harmful to health. We are concerned that sound, even though it is invisible, must be given enough attention.

We provide services in all project phases; from impact assessments and early-phase advice, via design to post-construction monitoring with measurements. We prepare documentation for all phases of construction cases and development projects.

We offer complete acoustic consulting of high quality within construction and real estate, transportation, energy, offshore and industry, which includes assessments, calculations and measurements within:

• Noise and vibrations from transportation, construction and construction noise, industry/land facilities (including wind turbines) and offshore installations.
• Building acoustics related to sound insulation, room acoustics and noise, vibrations and structure-borne sound from technical installations, transportation and activities in buildings.
• Underwater acoustics, where we lead the development in Norway in connection with risk assessment and monitoring for all types of measures at sea.
• Working environment.

We also perform troubleshooting and determination of sound transmission paths and leaks, and also measure sound power/intensity for noisy machines/installations.
